Ani DiFranco in Den Haag 14.06.2003
for a post in english, since one of the features of this site is the review and info on Ani DiFranco in Italy I’d love to write something new, too bad that Ani in her recent tour didn’t stop in Italy, nevertheless i went seeing her in Holland.I’m not supertitious since this was my 13rd time seeing her and just left for Amsterdam on Friday 13th and the day after in Den Haag (The Hague) Ani played in the Music in my head festival (she had a slot of one hour between Ian McCulloch and Hooverphonic), she played for 57 minuts

She looked relaxed and maybe a little tired especially because of hot temperature in the theater, anyway a good performance. Two highlights beside the songs : some people from the audience throw something on stage, she looked and pick it up, it was a joint (you’d know that joint and light drugs are somewhat allowed in Holland) she happily smiled; smack and put in into her pocket. She also told a story about saying "no" and her first time in Amsterdam and in Japan where they never tell you no, but "possibly",

it was not so clear what she meant and she left this story suspeded… to be continued she told.
I didn’t grab the setlist but was able to take a pic at it from the girl who did.
